hey everyone, i was just wondering if you had any book recommendations for pediatric heme/onc. i am a MSIII and am starting this rotation very soon. please let me know what you think. i dont mind investing in a good book because i am truly interested in the field. thanks 🙂

i used a small book called "pediatric hematology/oncology secrets" while on my peds hem/onc sub-i. it's just an overview, but i found it very helpful for the basics.

the children's hospital of oakland puts out a pocket-sized book that has some decent info, although i haven't found the formulary at the back all that helpful (ie, it doesn't list adverse effects). however, the basics of different illnesses and problems are there. it's red and blue -- i got it on amazon.

i just had my end of posting test recently...and i got a histiocytosis X case...😛

i'd have to agree the peds heme/onc secrets is a good book 🙂
