Pedo residency prep

I've been working in private practice for the past four years and am getting prepared to start a Pedo residency July 1st. I'm super excited to get started w residency but am a little anxious since I've been out of an academic setting for a couple of years. How are my fellow incoming residents prepping for residency? Any recommendations for current pedo residents? (ie. reading materials)

Whats up fellow pedo! I too am starting my pedo residency and like you have been out for awhile (even longer 🙁). I'm just taking it easy though. I tried reading some old texts, but I don't have the concentration I used to and honestly it feels like I know most of it anyways. I figure it will be like riding a bike once I get there though. Sure is coming up fast. SUPER Excited though!!

I think the main thing I'm planning to do for prep is to rest and relax a lot during the next few weeks. Once residency starts and I'm on call again the relaxing days of private practice will feel like a long distant memory. Good luck to everyone! I'm getting really really excited! 🙂
