i am currently in the process of applying to pedo programs and i was wondering if it was necessary to send nbde part 1 scores to each program or if it was sufficient to just send it through PASS. thanks!

also, are applicants sending CV and photos directly to programs too or just through PASS?

The PASS application did not ask for my board scores, but some of the schools will contact you requesting the scores. And the CV and photo will be requested by some of the programs as well. I wouldn't send anything in that the PASS application does not ask for.

thanks for the response..

so once i submit PASS..i should just wait for them to contact me about scores, CV or photo or go ahead and find out from them? if there somewhere i can find more specifically what each school requires? some of the websites for the programs dont have details listed.

check out the PASS Search engine of each program, it details what each program requires

You can check out what each program requires online at aapd.org under residency programs... but like I said, you should wait to send stuff in until each program contacts you regarding what is needed. The reason I say this is I have known people who have applied to their respective residency programs and had to send stuff in again because it was misplaced/lost before the program asked for it.

This happened to me already. Columbia didn't get my supplementals which were mailed USPS certified prior to PASS submission. Today, they contacted me and said that they didn't receive them. I know it was delivered but most likely misplaced. If they don't find it, I'll have to go through the trouble and spend more money in obtaining official transcripts and such.

As some have said, I definitely would recommend contacting the programs you are applying to to ensure you're sending all the right material. There have been a few that say on ADEA or AAPD or their own sites that they want certain stuff, then say they don't need it when you actually contact them directly -- board scores being a biggie since that costs additional money.

From what I understand, your dean's letter/letter from your school will usually list your board score along with your GPA and class rank, and this is enough for most programs.

Is this whole process making anybody else broke?! I need my student loans to come in like nobody's business! :scared:

Today I experienced the 'opposite' problem. Geisinger emailed me to say they received my supplemental materials, but USPS site says that the stuff is still in transit! LOL! I'm guessing Geisinger really did get it and the post office just didn't update it or scan it in.

Wish I still had student loans coming in lol... I am already out of school and working while applying and trying to manage this and making my loan payments is a different story!
