Hello:
Just a minor gripe about which answer to choose on the test:
a 16 year, who has full immunizations up to that point, and assumed to have received the last DTaP at age 5-6, comes in. At this point, a tetanus booster is warranted.
Books haev always indicated the need for the Td booster shot.
However, in real life, the doctors are all telling me for teens and adults, they use the Tdap because pertussis is rearing its head again.
Therefore, on the test if something like this shows up and I am forced to choose between these two, I am a bit confused as to which one to go for.

These guidelines imply that the answer should be Tdap.
Perhaps I am just splitting hairs here.
I am just citing an NBME form 2 question which tested this principle and "Tdap" did not show up as an answer.
Maybe that test form is just a bit outdated.
