Peds Externship

Hello everyone ,
Ive recently became interested in Peds and was wondering when is a good time to apply for an externship. I started DS3 three weeks ago , graduating class of 2020.

Most would not start the externship season till the winter. I would say contact programs you're interested in around the end of the calendar year.

During winter break and/or spring break is a great time to go -- I recommend going to Cincinnati and Pittsburgh Children's hospitals. Children's National might be another good one. I recommend these specifically because I believe they really value students who make the effort to visit before applying.
