Peds Prelim????

Hey guys,

wondering if anybody knew of any peds programs where you could do just a prelim year. I am applying for anesthesia and probably want to do a fellowship year in peds anesthesia after that, so naturally, a year of peds would be a good thing. They seem pretty rare though, any ideas would be appreciated..thanks!

I haven't heard of peds prelim year, but that doesn't mean anything I guess. Maybe you should ask in the anesthesia forum or other specialty forum where people know a lot about prelim years.

There are quite a few pediatric prelims out there.
Check out FREIDA online: http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/2997.html

Hit Residency/Fellowship Training Program Search then choose your specialty and location(s). Under optional criteria select include only programs that match criteria and offer preliminary positions.

If I remember correctly, CHOP will begin to offer prelim positions next application cycle.
