Pen/marker type for Step 1

This is kind of a detailed question, but for anyone that has taken the Step 1 exam, can you answer - what type of a pen/marker did they provide you? Did you have any issues? If you left it uncapped - did it dry out? Was it a fine point or wider tip? Erasable or permanent? Thanks!!

It's just like a fine tipped dry erase marker. One of mine did dry out when I left it uncapped but they give you two.

I think you have to use your index fingers.

Jk, not sure, I think overseas you can. Over here I know they give you noise-canceling headphones that are more like torture devices out of the movie Saw.

My testing center (northeast) allowed me to use earplugs. I would bring them and just ask on the morning of.

Agreed. I found that question even worse than this. If I was taking the exam and saw someone doing burpees all of a sudden, Id straight up lose it.
