Did anybody else get the huge envelope from Penn thinking it might have been an interview invite, only to be fooled when finding out that it was just their new brochure. I couldn't believe it when I was reading the letter haha. It started off by saying "We are pleased....." then it continues to say "to send you our new admissions brochure..." haha, oh well i guess the waiting continues...

yeah, I go that too! I knew that it wasn't an interview invite for me though because it should be another 1-2 weeks before they get my DAT scores. But, I guess a little part of me was really hoping it would be. I did like the new brochure though!

OH MY GOD! HAHAHA! I was totally going to post this EXACT same thread yesterday because I felt the same way. It was a total tease for us! I even read and reread that letter thinking....this can't be just another packet about the school....lame, but whatev....I guess it's pretty nice to get acknowledged 😀

get used to being psyched out during the admissions process. It contiues even during school...like the free catered lunch you've been looking forward to can often end up as some tiny little dry sandwiches and a bottle of water.

Hey, at least getting an updated brochure is all that happened. I received all my LOAs by Dec 5, 2005. I made my decision soon after and turned down my other LOAs. In April 2006, I received a letter from my school stating that they were sorry to inform me that I was not being offered a seat in the entering class of 2006. "OH MY GOD" I thought and was freaking out totally. I couldn't believe they were doing that to me and ater I had turned down my other acceptances. I immediately called the student affair office. They just laughed and apologized because I was still part of the enterg class. The letter was a mistake. I had to change my drawers after crapping them. I sure hope no one here ever has to go through that.

OMG! I'm pretty sure I would have felt like killing someone! Good thing it was a mistake!
