I'm preparing to apply to Penn State this fall after I take my SAT again. Are any of you considering making Penn State your home in the Fall of 2013 (Well, summer for me since I plan to join the Blue Band 😀)? Also, is anyone else considering going to these other colleges?
(In order; Penn State is my #1 choice)
2. University of Delaware
3. University of Maryland-College Park
4. Temple University
5. UConn
And Possibly...
University of Michigan
Ole Miss (University of Mississippi)
University of Arizona

I'm looking at possibly applying for their 6/7 year BS/MD program, but I don't know since the Sandusky issue. Not actually for what happened, but organizations and alumni are less willing to give them money to use for financial aid now.

I know what you mean dude, but I toured the campus before the whole Sandusky thing and loved it there! I loved Happy Valley, the campus was beautiful, and they have the largest alumni base in the US. That could possibly mean that if a PSU alum saw that I'm from PSU, they might try to help me out a little. Plus, I know I'm going to have fun there at various wild parties xD And finally, I'm loving that in-state tuition!

I toured Penn state 4 months after the discovery of...ehem the scandal, and everybody was really friendly. Heck the friendlies student body. But a lot of people say that students are kind of depressed and don't have that much school spirit now. The middle college Association (think that is what it is called) is going to decide if it will keep its accreditation on Sept. 15. Keeping my fingers crossed!

P.S. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-...ns-alumni-memberships-rise-erickson-says.html there's a rumor around the internet that the alumni funds are increasing...but I'm really skeptical about it
