Penn State post interview hold

I just wanted to know some thoughts on penn state's on-hold list. They are supposed to take 6-8 weeks to make a decision but I was placed in the 'hold' category in less then a week after my interview(actually, my letter was posted 2 days after my interview). haven't figured out if this was helpful or hurtful to me. Has anyone this year gotten off the Hold category????

i am in the hold for possible interview category. Has anyone ever really been interviewed after being placed in this category...or am i doomed?

I think the pre-interview hold list spells d-o-o-m, however, there may still be hope with a post-interview hold, I wouldn't hold out much hope either way. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I hope both of you the best with your other applications.

Boy, that sounded a lot like a rejection letter. I must have read far too many of those already this year! 🙁

I'm on the Penn State POST-INTERVIEW hold list as well. I would have to say that its just their way of saying that its a waitlist. I called the admissions office and I was told that our applications would continue to be evaluated every month, so at least our applications won't be just sitting around for the next few months. Does anyone know more details about the POST-INTERVIEW hold list, NOT the hold for interview list. Thanks.
