For the Penn secondary application where they ask "what goals will you fulfill by going to Penn?" (not word for word question but for those of you that have gotten it you know what question I am talking about)

Do you guys think I should talk about really specific things or more in general?

The last question? 😉 I was rather generalized in the goals I would fulfill...but used specific examples of how Penn is unique compared to other schools and how those specific things make it a good fit for me. Really it is all up to you, but I'm sure they are looking more for specifics because it shows that you have reasons you want to go there instead of other schools! Did I just confuse you? Hope not!

i'm having trouble thinking of something for the part of the third question that asks what interests me the least about dentistry... hahaha.

I dont like the first question about list any additional experience in dentistry. I crammed in every last hour on my AADSAS!!! so i dont know what to put here. Maybe talk about my internship a little more in detail?

I'm having a similar problem - what do they expect :/ b/c everyone obv put everything in their AADSAS!

I posted that question back in July....but I JUST GOT AN INTERVIEW YESTERDAY at PENN!!!! so excited....

To answer now my own question and help others, I wrote for #3 some specific things while giving examples of what I have already done for dentistry. For example I used my example of Research at Stanford University to help improve the future of dentistry and how Penn is also doing the same, with their program I could fulfill my goal of becoming a dentist and improving the field of dental medicine. SOMETHING like that but i went kinda deeper to give examples of what they spoke about in their packet, the one they give you thats kinda narrow. I read through that thing a couple of times to understand what the school was really about. And after i read it I actually really liked their program.

For question #1 about any other dental experience I wrote about shadowing in a different country for another dentist and the cultural experience I had from that. Obviously this one is going to be hard for those who put all their experiences on AADSAS application. If you dont have anything I believe it is OK to skip this question. My brother skipped this question and still got an interview so dont be scared if you dont have anything thats outside your AADSAS app.
