Wasnt sure about where to post this but decided on this subforum. My mother-in-law (RN) recently passed out briefly while working (no idea what exactly she was doing). H/O HBP (non-smoker) and strong history of cancer among her mother and her mother's sisters.
At any rate, chest-xray showed a "mass" (this is all I have been told...we live half way across the country and my wife's family doesnt talk much about things..they don't want to worry her). Further tests indicated that the "mass" pressed against her heart which caused her to pass out.
Needle biopsy was unsuccessful. My wife was told that the mass was too hard to penetrate to obtain a sample which could indicate a cyst which is obviously better than a malignancy. They will be attempting to remove the mass in about a week.
Any thoughts or reference materials anyone could recommend?
Thanks.😴
