Could anybody recommend me periodontology programs that don’t charge tuition and maybe offer a small stipend? Or which offer a stipend that covers the tuition and maybe more?
I know VA programs offer stipend. I don’t know much about non-MATCH programs.
I am interested in a heavily clinical program which offers good training in sedation and has a good number of patients daily. I assume all programs in the USA do guided implantology.
The geographical location is not that important. I would actually love to see more of the USA and meet different people. I think I would be a good fit in programs with a family environment and I would be perfectly happy in smaller towns too, although I spent most of my life in major cities.
I am a GC holder currently in my final year of dental school in the USA.
I would appreciate if current periodontology residents could share their thoughts too.

You might have a tough time matching to a VA program with a GC but I could be wrong.
VA alumni here, they pay close to 60k per year, I placed over 300 implants free hand, not amazing in the tech spectrum, we did have a CBCT and Piezo, that was about it.

You must be a citizen to attend a VA program....other great programs with stipends: Alabama, Iowa, Eastman Rochester, MUSC, Nebraska, Ohio, UNC.

Any opinions about the Georgia program?

Do the VA programs give any preference to military dentists?
