Hey SDN world,
For those of you following my story, just wanted to let folks know that I did indeed secure a residency in Lab Animal Medicine- in the 11th hour of the 2018 cycle! It was a very rough process for me, with plenty of rejection. Many times, I thought all hope was lost. Without the support of some very special people, I would never have found the resolve within myself to push forward and keep trying in the face of defeat.
Just wanted to give others who may be in a similar situation a glimmer of hope. There ARE programs out there that will see your value, and offer you the chance you've worked immeasurably hard to secure. Keep trying. Never give up.
Thanks to all within the SDN community who've offered their words of support.
I've looked to the following quote, many times, when I felt like throwing in the towel:
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
