I think I have gotten a great start to my personal statement (well 1000 characters in!). Does anyone have any strong older personal statements that they wouldn't mind emailing or messaging me?? I am just feeling a bit stuck and trying to figure out where to move on from where I am.

I doubt anyone is going to send you their PS. It's called a personal statement for a reason. We have a thread you can check out to see who is willing to read/critique your PS. It might help.

I wouldn't expect anyone to send me one that was going in with an application from this year...I was hoping someone who had been accepted who wouldn't mind sharing.

Still won't happen. There are too many people that copy personal statements. Not saying you would do that, but just go by the prompt and get some of the awesome people in the PS thread to help you. Good luck

I didn't mean from this year. I meant in general. I won't send mine to anyone and it is from 3 years ago.

I would imagine copying a personal statement would be rather dumb, though. For starters, they are personal... And anything you mention should line up with your experiences from the rest of your application and is something that is always fair game to be brought up in an interview.

That personal though is also a big reason people are going to be very hesitant to share outright with you or anyone really.
