I'm applying for the fifth time and was wondering if it was alright for me to say write "As a dental school fifth time re-applicant~~~~"? Will schools see that as a negative? or a positive? Thanks in advance!

I think if you talk about how it has made you grow as a person, or what you have done differently this time, it could be a positive thing. But if you say that and then don't mention what has changed, it could be negative. It all depends on how you spin it!

I am not sure your story, but I admire your applying so many times! Chasing a dream! Why didn't you apply early ?

I was actually revising my personal statement and have been studying for my DAT which is on sept 9th. I've been contemplating too whether August is too late to apply with subpar gpa. If I apply right now, is it considered pretty late? Should I apply next cycle?

It will be pretty late because you won't have your DAT score. If you have a subpar GPA then you should have been applying back in June or July. But I guess that's not something you can control now. Do you have distinguishing ECs? What about shadowing hours? What have you done since the last cycle to differentiate yourself?

If you submit now you will most likely get verified mid september. I would apply to a few schools just in case...especially in state ones and private ones. I mean you may get an interview and gain admission and therefore not have to wait another year! Hopefully you have a lot of ECs and shadowing/research hours
