Long story short, one of my parents is a special education teacher for elementary school kids and I've been friends with many of them throughout my life because of this. Should I talk about how being exposed to kids with learning disabilities, autism, spina bifida, down syndrome, etc has shaped my drive to be a physician at all? It's contributed to it, not a ton, but has played somewhat of a role in me wanting to be a physician. I haven't provided care for them in any way but being exposed to them has definitely made me interested in learning about these conditions/syndromes.
Currently my PS doesn't have a true story in it (more of a common theme throughout it with examples), but I would be able to include a story from being exposed to a few of them in particular I think also.
Thanks!
