Personal Statement Advice Needed

I am reapplying, and plan on updating my personal statement with changes and improvements I have made since the last application cycle but, my PS was really strong last year. It had an attention grabbing opening statement and obviously my reasons for wanting to go to Pharm school haven't changed, so I guess my question is: Is it okay to leave parts of my statement the same as long as I discuss the changes I have made since last year?

Why mess with a good thing? Definitely update and stress the changes you have made, but it's ok if it's not a completely new product.
