So the limit of the personal statement is 4500 characters and I have read that it will cut off at that limit.
On word, my character count exceeds this so I pasted my PS to my application to see where it would cut off and it did not cut anything out. I even pasted my PS three times in a row (3x the character count) just to see if i would ever be cut off and i wasnt.

is this a glitch or can you actually exceed the 4500 characters? can it be done but is frowned upon? or does it cut off after the actual submission and not just the preview?
thanks.

Did you try to save it after you copied and pasted?

Every word you wrote must be extremely important that you cannot reduce your ps to the 4500 character limit.

I did not because I was afraid I could not edit it afterwards. It is not complete I was just seeing what I had to work with.

My PS is nowhere near complete I was just again, trying to see what I had to work with. People have said the word count on word and on the AADSAS application are slightly different.

I think that's the kicker. It will let you copy and paste it, but it won't let you save it. At least that's how it was last year.

You can edit it up until you actually submit your entire application.
