Revision Med, www.revisionmed.com, is a San Francisco Bay Area-based company providing individualized editing of personal statements for medical school applicants. Revision Med is a sole proprietorship owned by Joann K. McEntire, Ph.D. A former English professor, Dr. McEntire acts as a writing coach, teaching you about the personal statement genre and how to best present yourself to the admissions committee members, but she does not write the personal statement for you. She received her bachelor's degree from Duke University in 1999, and received her Ph.D. in English literature from Stanford University in 2007. She is an expert in writing and argumentation. She worked in the medical field before graduate school and co-authored the Top-Law-Schools.com Guide to Personal Statements in 2009. Her rates are competitive.
