Hey guys,

I have been working on my DO/MD personal statement, and I am done writing it. I really want someone to proof read it and wouldn't mind paying a little bit of money for that. I am really anal when it comes to stuff like this. I am projecting a below average score on my MCAT (out this tuesday), besides my MCAT I am a pretty competitive candidate with a 3.65 GPA and tons of EC. I am guessing ADCOMS will put a big emphasis on my PS.

Do you recommend any service or people to proof read it? I dont mind paying if its helpful, the person knows what he is talking about and had success in the past. Thanks!

If you're seeking to pay people to read your personal statements, try some tutoring centers with skilled English teachers, but also make sure you have some medical students read it too, since even gunners can't hurt you (since they're already in!).

Maybe try some English professors you may happen to know or have had a class for, if you can find any?

Oh! And don't forget your premed advisers! If you go to a private school, then ask them what they think and follow their advice!

If you go to a UC school (University of California), ask the advisers what they think and follow the exact opposite of what they tell you. Works like a charm.
