I have to apply for masters very soon, no later than a week, so those who got accepted or finished the masters... can you shed some light on how much of time devoted on personal statement? how long is it supposed to be? I'm gonna apply to umdnj, barry, BU, tufts, and may be few more:xf:

any help will be appreciated

Thank you

I think you posted on wrong forum!!

I spent maybe 4-5 hours on my personal statement. Most of these programs don't specify a length, but mine was around 1.5 pages single spaced. You have to also remember that the subject of the personal statement for each program is slightly different, so you have to customize it a little depending on what they ask.

You need to really get going on your application. Masters programs accept students on a rolling basis as well and spots are filling up. You can't apply to the BU Oral Health Sciences Track because the deadline was 4/30 and the deadlines for UMDNJ, Barry, and Tufts are coming up soon. Check out Midwestern, Tulane, and Rosalind Franklin also. They all have SMP's that take pre-dental students (and DAT scores).
