Personal Statement for Reapplicant

Hi all,


This is my second cycle applying, and I'm wondering about the guidelines for personal statements.

Upon reading it for the past few days, I'm still totally happy with the main points I'm trying to make, even after a year's time. I understand that I obviously have to update it to cater to exactly what I've been doing since the last cycle, I'm just finding it hard to completely write a new one.

My questions to everyone is: for those who are/were reapplicants, did you re-write your personal statement entirely or tweak it slightly?

Did you march Crown?!

Also I'm not reapplying but I'd say maybe keep some of the most important points and then eliminate others to make room for explanation on why you think that your experience as a reapplicant has given you a greater knowledge of the field and how it has increased your passion for dentistry

Yeah I did march Crown! In 2014 and 2015. Hands down the best summers of my life. A lot of personal growth during those years. I miss it terribly, especially when the summer rolls around

Drum corps is a great thing to talk about in interviews, I wish I got to march! Loved 2015, though I'm still partial to BD's show that year 😛

I won't hold that against you too much.haha. I remember being so butthurt about that year. But not as bad as 2014.


I've also been reading mixed things about the PS. Can anyone else provide any input please?
