Hi everyone!

I am new to this. I found this forum as an alternative to paying ridiculous money online for help with my personal statement and application in general. I am Brazilian, born and raised, and have been living in the US for some time now, but I still find it difficult to properly articulate my ideas in English writing. In addition, I am a first generation college student so needless to say my family, despite supportive, can offer very little help as far as advising me with this process and editing. I am beyond terrified I will jeopardize my chances of acceptance by making honest mistakes just for these disadvantaged circumstances, despite being qualified (well I think anyways). I have worked so so hard these past couple of years and this is the home stretch!!! I was hoping to find some caring souls that would be willing to guide me a little, maybe some physicians, previous applicants, or even children of medical doctors who can ask for advice! You guys, thank you so much for considering this and reading this far! I really hope this whole thing works out! Blessed to even be considered to be honest!

Also i am not sure if this matters at all for this post but I saw some people mentioned it in others so

GPA: 3.93
MCAT: 514 (though biochem section is a 124 and it’s sad and I got sick and I don’t want to talk about it 🙁 ....)
School: Emory University
