I have officially written 11 personal statements and i am PISSED OFF and frustrated. i know the topic is WHY DENTISTRY?
so my questions is:

is it better to write a statement on a couple of my dental experiences that have truly shown me what dentistry is allll about (which, in my opinion, answers the question why dentistry quite well).... or do i need to include like clubs i've been in and characteristics about myself that i believe will make me a good dentist.

Dont trip about the PS. Just write whatever you feel at the moment. Write about anxiety and frustration u have doing the application but somehow u still strive through the ostacles to complete it because u want to be a dentist so bad. If thats how u feel write now. After that go chill for a bit and read it over.

I didnt talk about clubs and organizations I've been in because all of that is already in my application. I used my personal statement to tell the story of why i want to be a dentist....Explain some adversity and how you overcame it...maybe explain anything that is lacking in your application (why you got a C in blank, what was going on in your life at that time and how you learned from it). Basically you want to write something that will make the admissions commitee want to meet you.

Don't talk about things that are obvious from your application (clubs). Focus on unique, key experiences ... as well as your characteristics.

Only include the major influences of why you want to go into dentistry. Don't go branching off onto multiple idea's about why you love dentistry but focus on a couple of reasons. Also you can write about certain hardships you had during your road to dentistry if you are lacking idea's to write about.
