After many revisions with my Health Professions advisor, I'm proud to say another task is checked off. Can anyone be an extra set of eyes to read it for me and provide input? Mainly looking for people who were accepted in past cycles, not youuuu upcoming applicants LOL.

Hopefully you did a better job spell-checking it than you did your forum name!
Ha-ha
But seriously, there's a thread floating around somewhere with a bunch of people that are willing to look it over.

Congrats on being half done with your personal statement! You can PS it to me or any of the several other volunteer essay readers floating around SDN

Hahaha dude I wanted the correct spelling username but someone already had it. I guess they got banned now lol

I'm just starting mine and its lowkey hard to put pen to paper with this. I have so many reasons why I want to pursue dentistry but not in a way that sounds smooth when reading it. Thankfully I have all my LORS, EC, shadowing, and all that done so once this is done I'm finally finito.

At least you got your DAT out of the way, I’m dreading mine and it’s in 3 weeks. I agree with you 4500 characters is nothing especially when trying to put all your thoughts and emotions down. I would love to help you if you want, even thought I don’t know much, I’m still willing to help.

I'll definitely send it your way once its less sh**ty. I basically jump around very sporadically and need to clean it up a bit. And hey man just crush this DAT and you'll be good! Trust yourself and just remember that it's just a test. I started freaking out on mine half-way through and think that I would've scored a little bit higher if I calmed down a bit. This is the last leg so crush it!

Thank you! Yes it’s forsure freaking me out lol. Especially the Bio section because there is just so much information to grasp. I’m going to give it my all! After all, this is what we signed up for baby! Keep me posted once you do some revisions and I would be glad to assist you! Crush it man!

Feel free to pm it to me. I applied last cycle and got few interviews and acceptancs

Do be careful giving out your PS. You'd hate to have ADCOM see your ideas on someone else's statement and have them question you about it.

I can read it.
BTW, there was an excellent "Writing Residency Personal Statements" guide up on SDN a while ago. I am sure it could be used for pre dent as well.
