ok, stupid question, but when applications say that they want a 1 page personal statement, is that single or double spaced?

It is usually 11-12 font size (I try to keep it 12....easier to read) with single spacing ... unless otherwise mwntioned

it has to be 5300 no more, but can be less. this includes, spaces, and special characters!
