For those of you who have already applied for med school: can you tell me exactly what the character/word limit is for the personal statement on the AMCAS application? I am working on mine right now and I want to make sure I have the limit in mind. Thanks!

It is about 5300 characters, including spaces, if I remember correctly...on a word processing program, like Word, about 1 page max on 10 pt arial or roman font should be OK and fit in the AMCAS PS box
