Hello everybody,
I was just wondering the length my personal statement should be. Ive always been told to keep my papers short but powerful and getting the message across. I feel that reading a longer paper would be tedious to the reader. Right now my paper is 2400 characters, about 2 pages double spaced... They allow up to 4500 characters i believe, should i add more, or is the route ive taken better? thanks everyone

2 pages is only 2400 characters? That doesn't sound write. The character limit includes spaces too. Double check that.

yeah somethign is wrong. my PS is like 1.4 pages single-spaced, and I'm at like 4489 characters...

hmm i just double checked...im at 2700, about 3/4 a page single spaced....i feel it is powerful and to the point, but do you think i should still add the extra 1800?

If you're happy with the content of your personal statement, then there's no need to add the additional characters. Extra "fluff" might even weaken your statement. I am a little surprised you got it down to only 2700 characters though. When I wrote mine the first time it was about 5500, and it was really hard to cut it down to the 4500 limit!

mine was 3300, and I thought it was a little too long.

I think 2400 is good if your a strong writer and expressed your interest in dentistry well.... I say if your confident about it, then its okay.

arite guys i lengthened it a bit because there was a point i wanted to add that i forgot about earlier...but thanks for the help i appreciate it
