Personal Statement limit

So I thought I was all set today with my personal statement in hand, but then I clicked on "instructions for this section" and noticed that there is a 4500 character limit!!!! including spaces! so I tried to paste my essay into the box and it accepted it, but i do not want to save it yet...My question is, is this 4500 character limit a hard and fast rule?? its really short about 1 page, has anyone submitted a larger essay? Thanks good luck to everyone

4500 characters is the limit, you shouldn't be able to paste anything more into the box. If it's too long it won't accept it. Happy condensing. 🙂

It will let you put it in there but the crappy part is that when your application gets printed it will get cut off at 4500 which will be very obvious to those reading that you didn't follow the instructions. So as was mentioned happy condensing. 😀
