Something like that. Sit tight, young padawan. Write it and send it to your mentors/people you work with/friends/family, and the reader list should be up in a few months.

Sadly, my university requires them to be turned in jan. 27. I can't explain why, I just do as I'm told.

My school was similar. Just remember that this does not necessarily have to be the exact personal statement you submit on your application. You can redo the whole thing if you want.
