Just curious about whether it's better to devote the entire PS solely to strengths/experience or incorporate failures/mistakes and show how it has shaped you into a competitive applicant and overall wise pick for dental school.

The PS could include all of those things. However, you have to incorporate how these strengths/experiences/failures/mistakes relate to your interest in becoming a dentist. How have your experiences cultivated an interest in dentistry and the profession? Don't write about why you are a competitive applicant and why they should choose you.
