Hi all,

I've been working on my personal statement for awhile now. I focused on telling a story throughout, and I think I may have done that too well. The reason being ... I've asked a lot of non-science people to read it, and they love it because it's engaging and meaningful. I focus on the philosophy of why I want to go into medicine. I gave it to a more science-y person yesterday and he said that it was almost too content-heavy and he would have liked to see more concrete discussions about medicine. I'm not sure what to do. I'm going to ask a couple more science people, but I guess my main worry is that ... if I add in this portion that is more concrete, it would really disrupt the flow I have going on. The tone would completely change and it would seem more ... boring? I tried to reserve the more "get to the facts" portion to the activities list, where I do talk about some specific medical experiences.

I guess I'm wondering what I should do. Any tips? Thanks!
