Hey all,
Just wanted to get some opinions on this. I was accepted to medical school following graduation, and decided (for a number of reasons - lifestyle, increasing dissatisfaction of physicians, insurance and other administrative headaches that are getting increasingly worse, etc.) that I didn't want to go down that path.
I know that there is a section on the AADSAS application that requires applicants to list whether or not they've applied to other professional schools and if you were accepted. So... I don't want to make this the focus of my PS, but do you think it's wise to at least briefly discuss why I chose not to go to medical school (obviously I'll be talking about why I've decided on dentistry), or should I just leave it as a possible source of discussion during the interview?
I'm just wondering whether it's worthwhile to even open up that can of worms myself in the PS; is that a question that every committee is going to want to have an explanation for?
Thanks.
