I will be reapplying through AMCAS this summer and I was wondering if anyone knew the types of things a medical school re-applicant should address in their personal statement.

Can I reuse any of my "old" personal statement or do I need to start from scratch?

If multiple informed readers (premeds who got accepted, English teacher, advisor, parents, volunteer SDN readers) felt it was perfect a year ago, at the very least, tweak it and change the first paragraph (because they do get compared). Odds are that when you read it, it will no longer seem as ideal as it did a year ago, and you'll have lots of ideas for changes, anyway. And unless a few of your interviewers made favorable comments, totally rewriting a PS that didn't get you accepted (or interviewed) is probably the best idea.

Exactly. You didn't get accepted with it before - why would you want to use the same one?
