Personal statement send help

so I know this is kind of late to just be doing the personal statement now, but trust me I've been trying to do it since May. The issue is I know how to write BUt this personal statement has STUMPED me. I have overcome some major hardships in my life (my biological mom was a drug addict and alcoholic, have several psychiatric disorders, etc) so I know these are things I should mention in there. All the advice I can find says to tell a story in the statement, but for some reason I can't find a way to tie everything together in a concise way. I also feel like my structure is a bit simplistic and I need a way to fix that. so I guess after that spiel, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any resources that could possibly help.
