Hello everyone!

I am in the process of writing of PS and I got pretty stuck.

My profile is, I've living in China before I went to college in the US and moved here with my family (so now I'm NOT an international student...). My initial inspiration of being a doctor is actually because I was intrigued by Chinese medicine (herbal medicine..). How am I supposed to write my PS and tell them that now I'm applying for American allopathic med schools?

I would really appreciate your help! Thank you.

You could just talk about how your initial interest led you to want to learn more about science and how that interest grew as you learned more about science at your university.

Also tie that in with any shadowing or clinical so that you can explain why medicine.

There are general underlying themes that you connect with your exposure and Western styles of medicine.
Improving quality of life for others, interest in science and chemical interactions to improve the body, wanting to investigate/pioneer new medicinal methods, preventative medicine, helping people to achieve their health goals, etc.
