Hey all,

I was just in the process of submitting my app and I just wanted to get your thoughts on short term goals!

I've been reading on some threads that some applicants didn't include immediate goals but only long term goals. But some have also stressed the importance of answering the whole question. I said that I wanted to work with children in the future...so I guess pediatric pharmacy residency? But my cousin who is in pharmacy school right now highly advised against stating that you wanted to specialize in something at this point in our careers..... What do you all think?

I don't see anything wrong with stating that you're INTERESTED in specializing. Just don't sound too determined because you probably haven't seen the full picture yet.

I dont know...My interviewer was quite impressed that I had done the research to narrow down my goals. However, I also stated that anything can and will happen and I may need to shift my focus a few years down the road.
