Hi everyone,

I am an undergrad curently applying for dental school and have just finished my personal statement.

I dont know any dental students personally and the predental advisor at our school is the preemed advisor and has no idea wats different about a dental PS. i was wondering if anyone here , who already went through the application cycle, would be able to look at my PS and let me know if its relevant or wat dental schools want at all.. Im looking for comments to improve. Please do let me know. thanks

:luck:

This is better over in the pre-dent forum.

As the personal statement, it is just that. Personal. It does not necessarily have to be related to dentistry, unless they ask you why dentistry. Anything usually will do for a personal statement as long as it is sincere, passionate and compelling. What dental school wants in a personal statement is a window to your personal character (and how it can relate to dentistry if at all). Be an interesting person and you will have half ur personal statement layout for you.

With that said, I can help you with it if you want. feel free to pm me.

you can "google" it =)

i found a relevant website (think of university of Berkley) with many advices about PE

anyway, you should only mention positive things (no negative comments)

mention important/relevant events in your life (achievements/obstacles) and what you learnt

most important thing is to answer questions given by dental school

and if you have extra dollars there are some excellent online editing services
