After very recently making the switch to anesthesia, I need to work on my personal statement starting now. Problem is, my only exposure to anesthesia has been in the SICU, which I fell in love with. How do I write a personal statement when I have done the general rotation, which is not till November. I already have an attending who would write me a LOR. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've probably had some experience in the OR with anesthesia, right? If not then you should take that opportunity now even if it's off hours. Your local anesthesia dept. is there 24/7 more than likely so I would jump in there if you haven't yet. While you CAN write a PS with only SICU experience in my mind it would be better if you can have at least some OR experience to draw upon. Even if you love SICU now, realize that it's only 4 months of anesthesia experience in residency. But you can incorporate many of the aspects of acute care medicine that you see in the SICU into your PS.
