I am a little behind the game, and just applying to dental schools. I am just about finished with my personal statement, and I can't seem to find a place where it says exactly how long it should be. I found one site that said 1000 words, but that wasn't the ADEA site. Is 1000 words an accurate limit, should it be shorter or longer?

Thanks for your help!

Laura

i believe it should be around 4500 characters, including spaces, for AADSAS.

4500 characters. If you go over it won't let you save it. This counts returns, spaces, punctuation, and letters.

My personal statement read something as follows. "I would be very, very, very, very, ..., very happy if you let me in to your dental school.

4500 characters translates to about a page and a quarter, single spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point1 inch margins.

mine was about half that.

That might explain the "reapply2007" nickname😀
