Blah, I don't know what my personal statement should say...

Should it talk about why I want to be a dentist? Why I am qualified to be a dentist? Just about my ECs or what? Should it explain some of my sub-par grades? I don't want to write a whole paper of excuses...

I also don't want to go on and on about my son and having a family, i dont want it to come off like I am making excuses... and Im young, and I think sometimes people brush me off as a "slut" or a bad mom because of my age (yet, Im not, I am married and an attentive mom).. if I talk about the hardships of being pregnant and 18 I will surely come off bad, no?

I need to shine in my PS, because of my GPA... and Im afraid of just being like... I demonstrated leadership and commitment through _______... blah blah blah

Does anyone care to tell me what they wrote about? Id love to read someone else's statement.. Im not applying until next cycle and Im obviously not dumb enough to copy anything

Your ps should be about:

1. who you are
2. how you became interested in dentistry
3. what have you done to achieve this goal and
4. what are your future plans (brief)

You do not need a crutch to be able to write a ps. However, there are a few that have been posted on www.DMDstudent.com
