Hey-
Kind of a noob question, but what it the official question you are supposed to answer on the AADSAS personal statement? Is this question the same every year? Are you supposed to try to answer the question: Why Dentistry? Or are you allowed to talk about ANYTHING (tying it in with dentistry somehow though, i hope). What did you guys who got in write about? I need some help here, heh.
Also...In the section where you write down your scholastic awards, achievements, etc...is this section considered one with a lot of weight?, or is it ok if you dont have many awards, but make up for it with shadowing, work experience, volunteering, etc?
i.e. does it look bad if the awards/achievements section, and maybe the research section too is sort of.....of blank.....? And can you make up for that by making the other sections more in depth, like shadowing, work experience, volunteering, etc?
Finally, I always hear about people saying how they're always working and working on their app to make it great, and knowing it inside out, but what part of the app is the part that is taking everyone a lot of time to complete and make perfect? Do you know what I mean?-is it the personal statement, or the EC list...or....?

extra question- to whoever still has patience to answer my post: when you submit your app and pay for the app (credit card let's say), AADSAS won't process your app until they get the official transcript from your University, right? But for you guys, do you have any idea how long it takes AADSAS just to RECEIVE your transcript (i.e. how long does it usually take for the transcript to get sent from your University to AADSAS?)
