What was the name of the psychologist

who spent time a mega amount of time outdoors,

went up to 100 or 1000 women in a certain area (in New York?)

and asked each and every one of them out,

BANG-BANG-BANG!!

one right after the other.

I think he did this to try and overcome

his lifelong problem with shyness

that was making him one unhappy camper.

Experiment happened a while back, decades ago

I think.

Anyone know his name?

(not a pop quiz - and no, it wasn't Mystery 🙂

oh ive heard of this too! wish i could remember his name. i think it was more than just about shyness, but also about how the more opportunities you ask for, the more you get in return. It might have been in a job searching book I was reading? I'll try looking it up.

The experiment was performed outdoors in a town or city square.

I think he used a round number like 100 or 1000, a number he used as a goal to attain companionship and/or a number he'd use as set point that would signal the end of his experiment.

I've tried using various keywords using Google but I've had no luck in discovering his name.

I was going to say Ellis. I learned about it in my class last Fall.

Albert Ellis ..

You're too late Knowing.

Class credit goes to Coffee Can for providing the correct name of the psychologist who took his shyness by the horns, stared it in the face and performed a virtual athletic feat that Babe Ruth and Rudlolph Valentino would have been in awe of 🙂

See post number 4.
