Geeze....I wish I could find a love for dogs, but just can't. Congrats on your new doggie!

Everyone, I am soooooo sad. Comet has to go back to the rescue. He is just too scared of my daughter. He snapped at her tonight, twice. I can't watch them all the time. I think he'd do better in a home without toddlers.

I've really gotten attached to him, but I don't think he's happy here.
I'm depressed about it, but I know it is the right choice.

🙁 🙁 🙁

Ahhh sorry to hear that. I can empathize with that, some dogs just don't do well round kids. Had a friend's Irish Setter get shipped off because of that. Allie was sweet but didn't like the kid toucher her... well and she humped the binkey in the hall all the time. 😉

We had a dog (black lab mixed with Sharpae) for 11 years. He was absolutely wonderful around children say 7-8 years old and older. He was also fine around babies, never really went near them at all. But children maybe 2-5 years old, that came about eye level with him while standing REALLY freaked him out! He'd growl and show his teeth and become really aggressive. It was the oddest thing.
There are no young kids in my family anymore but our neighbors had a 3 year old girl and we had to be extremely watchful of the dog and never let him out around her. I think the fact that they meet the dogs at eye level or just above eye level makes them feel threatened and become aggressive.
Try not to feel too bad. He sounds like a sweetie pie who will do well in another home. He'll have no trouble finding the right family. 😳

I think that's exactly what was going on.
I know he will be better off somewhere else, but I'm still sad... 🙁

She had a wonderful life and was a great dog.

Here's kit-ten (He was part of a litter I didnt want to get attached to, so I called them all "kitten." I ended up keeping him and havent bothered to change it 😉

And the nice artists of the Summer Palace in Beijing, China was kind enough to include a portrait of them both (Just kidding, they werent around in the Jin Dynasty...but I find the coincidence hilarious):

Hi everyone! I am in the process of applying to pharmacy schools, but was wondering how everyone manages their pets while in school. I have a 3 year old dog (basset hound/brittany spaniel..very cute) and just want to make sure that having a pet while in school is possible. Thank you for any responses!

It's possible.
It's easier if live with other people who can help take care of the dog.

Here's Gabe, our destructo-cat. He was helping me file taxes a couple of years ago...

My current avatar is of our other cat Sam when he was a baby (he's a bit bigger now). My old avatar was of Lillian, one of the kittens that we fostered a couple of summers ago from ~10 days to 5 months.

He could be my Scamper's good twin! My cat is seriously evil...but I love him anyway. He's so cute and sweet when he actually wants to be, that its hard not to. What can I say? I'm a sucker.

My family adopted my dog, 😍 Sandy 😍 when I was just 8 years old. She was already 2. Now Sandy is 15 years old.. and she is part shelty/corgie. I just love her. She is the best dog a child could ask for. I just don't know what I'd do without her.. though reality has kicked in that she is getting very old. A mature dog is supposed to be age 7, well Sandy is twice that plus 1.. eeek! Oh well, I love her! Here is my doggie doo:

Here's Vigo(left) and Kodi(right). Vigo is 2 years old and the best dog I have ever owned. Kodi is my new puppy and is only 6months old in this picture and 12lbs larger than Vigo, already. Send money for dog food. This puppy is breaking me.

Nice lookin dogs. What breed are they?

Both are pitbulls. They are the biggest babies, though. People do the same thing you did just then. They walk up, pet, and love on them. Then ask what breed they are and jump back when I tell them. The breed has such a bad rep. 🙁

lie & tell them that they really are chihuahuas 😀

I just took some new pictures of our butterball Sam. He's decided that he likes the taste of toilet water better than his filtered cat-fountain water. But he's too fat to balance on the seat, so he drinks from it like a dog. I snuck up on him to take this picture:

He gave me this look after I started laughing at him:
