To make the long story short, I have completed my Anesthesiology Residency, but never got credit for my intern year (In Internal Medicine-at another program) due to the fact that I became a target of an unfair Program DIrector and because of his recommendation to not to give me credit for that whole year-tough luck-, so never got the credit. The Anes. Department told me it was my responsibility to get my internship year accredited or complete it again after my anesthesiology fellowship was completed. Sadly, I have not been able to match this year and doubt I will get into internship again in this cut throat competition.

I feel that I was wrongly terminated, and not on any substantial grounds regarding patient care and attention for I know I was above average. someone suggested that I should go for something called petition for retroactive reevaluation. I would really like to get my pgy 1 credit so I can get board certified and move on with my life. Should I get a lawyer to do this or write a letter on my own. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Your own discussion in your original thread of doing a prelim year (in IM or surg) sounds like your best option. Hopefully you will be able to scramble into a spot, as there are usually many prelim spots unfilled in the match.
