i'd to ask if i can apply to pgy2 in neurology following a pgy1 transitional year?
here's my situation.
currently am attending med school in ireland, very interested in coming to states for residency in neurology but have to have 6- month med/6-month surgery in intern year to fulfill requirement to register with the irish medical council. it will be very unlikely that i be able to fulfill the requirement doing an pgy1 in internal medicine.. i also realize that i need 8 month of internal medicine to sit the board for licence in neurology in the states.
plz advise.
