Question: If you are looking for a PGY2 position but didn't participate in the Match via ERAS or NRMP...Is it a "violation" to inquire, via Email.starting today, re open PGY1 or PGY2 positions?

Since you didn't apply via ERAS or NRMP, you can do anything you want.
Programs cannot talk to applicants from outside the match until after SOAP finishes on Friday about spots in SOAP. However, if a program decides to talk to you, it's on their head. You can apply to any non-SOAP position you'd like.
