There doesnt seem to be many standouts for books in these areas. Does anyone have any recommendations? Will First Aid be sufficient for these topics?

If you learn Pharm well during second year FA will be enough. Step 1 tests mostly mechanisms and common side effects and common uses of meds.

I'm blanking on the name of the Immuno book now(no sleep last night and on call tonight 😡 ..its actually just a 40 page section in a Microbiology book I think by Jewitz or something like that...the book has a gray and orange cover..people on here mentioned it a lot. When I remember the name, I'll let you know.

The first aid pharm section is awesome. Concentrate on learning pharm well second year, and first aid will be more than sufficient.

The Jawetz book is more than sufficient for immuno. If I remember correctly, the immuno section is ~100 pages. I used this book for immuno during first year (and did very well in immuno) and I read it again when studying for step one. I also annotated the immuno section in first aid with stuff from Jawetz.

If you want some good pharm practice stuff, why not get a book for pharmacy boards. Lot of good stuff there, can get Comprehensive Pharmacy Review and the Appleton Lange, all question book. Some questions won't pertain, but there is quite a few therapeutics questions that you would have to know. Good luck.
