Pharmacist Continuing Education (CEs)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I like Power Pak, because they have tons of free CEs.

I'm a PharmCon (aka. FreeCE.com) user.
There is an annual fee of somewhere around $75 but I think it's worth it due to the availability of live CE programs on daily basis (except on the weekends).
Also, the completed CEs being automatically updated in NABP CE monitoring database is also a plus.

I signed up for FreeCE.com this year, and knocked out 15 hours in a couple of weeks. I paid for a year subscription, so after the renewal takes place I'm going to load up another 30 hours for next renewal and call it quits. $75 every two years is not a bad price for the ease at which you can complete these things. They have at least 2 CEs each weekday.

i use pharmacist letter. done with all my self study ce's and they give free live ce's. i'm halfway done thru the free live ones. you just sign up, and they send you an email like a day before and then again an hour before it starts. free from where i work.

I go to ones with free food pretty much exclusively. Knocks out dinner + CE's in one fell swoop.

As a relatively new pharmacist (1 year w/ license), when should I start taking these CEs?

Probably depends on your state, in IL, new grads don't need CE for their first renewal, but would then it thereafter (the CE would have to be done in the 2 years between your 1st renewal & 2nd renewal)
